Born in California in 1998, the exciting young pianis Ignas Maknickas was raised in Lithuania. He received The Queen’s Award for Excellence in 2021 as the highest-scoring graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. In 2023 he had his debut recital at the Wigmore
Hall. In 2024 won First Prize at the Royal Over-Seas League Keyboard Competition and appeared on BBC Radio 3.

Piano works by Chopin, Schubert and Schumann are complemented by the less familiar name of Sergei Bortkiewicz and his opus 33 Preludes, lushly romantic pieces you are sure to enjoy discovering.
