The Suttoners' Theatre Company Present: A Midsummer Night's Dream

In Association with Dorking Dramatic and Operatic Society

When the King and Queen of the Fairies have a lover's tiff, their anger causes storms and disruption as the fairy world starts to affect the human one and the lines between the worlds blur! The enchanted forest affects everyone, the four human lovers trying to work out who loves who, the friends rehearsing their play and even the Duke and Duchess! Making sure the chaos continues is the mischievous (and possibly malevolent) goblin, Puck, sharing his love potion with everyone and making the strangest love matches-oh, and did we mention the Donkey’s head?

Make love not war and join us in the magical wood.

Join The Suttoners, in association with DDOS, as they present a 90-minute romp through Shakespeare's most popular and crazy play, specially adapted for this production!

The production uses only Shakespeare's words.

After the performances in Dorking, this production will travel to an open-air theatre in Minden, Germany. The Suttoners' Theatre Group was created to continue the town-twining theatrical sharing between the town of Minden and the town of Sutton that began in the 1970s. During this time many friendships have been built and a great and lasting affection for Minden has been born and continues to flourish as the company has expanded beyond Sutton. We believe in the transformative nature of theatre and the friendships it creates

Tickets: £12

This production will take place in The Green Room Theatre at the rear of Dorking Halls.
